Meet our new Nature Positive team member!
The Nature Positive team has expanded. We are delighted to welcome Luka Brown to Nature Positive as a graduate environmental consultant. Luka will be based in our Bath office.

Luka has recently joined the Nature Positive team.
We asked her a few questions to find out more about the experience and skills she brings to the team.
How did you get into environmental work?
I have had a lifelong passion for the outdoors and learning, which made for a natural transition into studying environmental science and policy at university. Joining the team at Nature Positive is the opportunity to put my knowledge to good use to make a real difference in the way businesses view and treat the environment.
Why Nature Positive?
After recently finishing my masterโs degree, the opportunity to work with Nature Positive was a chance to apply my academic knowledge to real world situations. Biodiversity loss is a key challenge facing todayโs society, so it is great to be part of a team working to address this problem.
In your role at Nature Positive, how will you help businesses become more sustainable?
My role at Nature Positive will be to help senior members of the team to manage different projects and deliver research reports. Having recently left university, I am looking forward to applying my background knowledge to real world situations. I am particularly keen to start using biodiversity data sets to inform businesses of their likely impacts and about their reliance on the natural world.
What are the values you are passionate about?
I am very passionate about the environment and feel that we have a duty to protect and restore nature. As every human relies on the environment, I am committed to reconnecting people with nature. I also feel passionate about learning and try to learn something new each day.
What do you do outside of work?
Outside of work, you will most likely find me somewhere outdoors. Whether I am climbing, hiking, surfing or just enjoying the sun, I like to spend as much time in nature as possible.
What country is top of your travel bucket list?
The country of choice for me would be Brazil. Unfortunately, my last trip was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so I have plenty of unfinished exploring to do in Brazil and the rest of South America.
What is your favourite animal?
I would say I am more of a plant fanatic, and I am fascinated by the vast array of endemic species that live in the rainforest. If pushed about my favourite animal, I would say hummingbirds. My first chance to see them was during my time in Brazil, where I was able to catch a glimpse of their amazing array of colours.
Do you have any pets?
Yes! A (non-yappy) Jack Russell named Chip and a cat named Pearl.
Anything else you want to add?
I am thrilled to be joining the team at Nature Positive and look forward to upcoming projects.
